How do I search all Hebrew verbs with the Hif'il stem?
    1. A simple morph search: morph.h:Vc
  • I would like to search who was the most educated disciple, Judas or Matthew. This search would exclude Paul. Are there any tips or references that would be helpful in this search?
    1. i plan to do a search in Philippians to find out how many time the word joy or rejoice occurs. Is there a way to do a search based on the root of Χαίρετε? I tried in NA 28 to search root:Χαίρετε, it returns nothing. How to make this work?
      1. your thinking is right, but Χαίρετε is a flexed form (imperative 2nd person plural: Rejoice!), you need to put the root form for this search. root.g:χαιρω will work. How do I know: I right-clicked on Χαίρετε in Phil 4:4 and on the left side of the context menu it gave me the lemma form (the ring symbol) and the root form (with the root symbol), when I selected the latter, Logos offered the inline search for NA28
    2. How do I limit search to NT
      1. Hi, in a Bible search look just above the search box where you would type what you're searching for, and you will see various parameters to set the search range. For example, "Your Bibles * All Bible Text * Verse in All Passages". If you click on All Passages, you can set it to be just the New Testament, or whatever other range limitations you need.
    3. I have a discussion due and I'm wondering how to cite my information. Naturally I will cite Matthew 25-27, but is that good enough? Something tells me that I better find out, I'm not into plagiarism, lol
      1. Need more details on what you are using and what type of assignment it is.
      2. Also, there is citation information you can copy inside each resource in Logos that you can configure to whatever format you require (e.g., MLA, AMA, etc.). Your instructor will provide you with what style you need. Otherwise, like David said, we can't really offer much more without further information.
    4. I'm interested in finding all the prophecies made by Jesus, e.g. “And truly I say to you, wherever the gospel is preached in the whole world, that also which this woman has done shall be spoken of in memory of her.” (Mark 14:9) I don't know how to search for such disparate prophecies. Is there a way to have a search made for all the prophecies Jesus made?
      1. This may require several different searches, but if you have the Literary Typing dataset, you can search for various types of sayings Jesus made. For example, literaryTyping:"Passion-Prediction Saying" finds all the passages in which Jesus predicted His death.
    5. How do I enter a search for all the sermons on the Sermon on the Mount in my library?
      1. In the Guides menu, find the Sermons section (Bible Reference) and type in Matthew 5–7. https://ref.ly/logos4/Guide?t=System+Guide+Customizations%3a+Sermons+(Bible+Reference)&ref=BibleNIV.Mt5-7
    6. Why does the new AI search feature show all the results of books I do not have in my current library? Can it be changed to only show results in my library? Very frustrating!!!!
      1. , in the All search tab, we search all books, exposing ones you don't yet own but that may be helpful to you. In the Books search tab, you can control the search collection and limit only to your books.
      2. Great, thank you
      3. Happy to help!
      1. Please provide some more details about what you are trying to do
